Wenn du das hier siehst, dann bist du Teil des #Fediverse und hast die engen Grenzen deiner eigenen Instanz verlassen. Das Fediverse stellt sicher, dass du dich mit anderen Menschen außerhalb deiner kleinen Blase vernetzen kannst. Es füttert deine und die öffentliche Timeline mit Inhalten und vernetzt die Server miteinander. Dabei ist es vollkommen egal, ob du Mastodon, Pixelfed, Friendica, Hubzilla, Peertube, Nextcloud, Worpress, Pleroma oder ein anderes Projekt verwendest.
Ohne das #Fediverse säßen wir alle auf kleinen Inseln und könnten nur die Erreichen, die sich auf der gleichen Instanz befinden.

If you or your #organization is looking to add new #share buttons in your #website so people can share your #content on here, please strongly consider using the proposed #fediverse or even #activitypub logo, instead of #mastodon’s.
Mastodon is amazing and @Gargron has done stellar work to help people move to a much more reasonably organized way of using computers and the internet to connect with each other and communicate. Society owes him gratitude for that!
However the strength of all this is in the protocol, which is at pretty much the right level of abstrraction to allow for multiple types of different “social networks” to actually interop freely, solving one of the worst issues of this now setting wave of corporate owned walled garden type social media.
The difference in effort between making things work with just Mastodon and making things work with #ActivityPub in general is. The sond one however guarantees more accessibilty, inclusivity and is an overall much more future proof approach to integrating online social interactions.
